We treat all of our patients like family with the warmest and most caring professionals, providing the highest quality of care to you and your family.

Jacqueline

Office Manager

I was born and raised in Naples, Florida. I was introduced to dentistry from my brother and sister-in-law, both dentists. At GCO I’m the office manager, but you will find me all over the practice always lending a helping hand and filling in anywhere I am needed . I absolutely love my role here. There’s nothing quite like the joy of meeting new patients and guiding them through their orthodontic journey. Being a part of their transformation and witnessing the confidence that comes with a beautiful new smile is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and excited about their treatment.

When I’m not at the office, you can find me on the tennis court, whipping up something delicious in the kitchen, or spending quality time with my family and my two handsome rescue pitties, Harper and Koa. I’m also a huge sports fan and love watching the Florida Gators and the Dallas Cowboys play football. My husband and I share a passion for traveling the world together, and we enjoy exploring new destinations, trying local cuisines, and immersing ourselves in different cultures. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a grand adventure overseas, we cherish the memories we create along the way. Life is all about balance, and I strive to enjoy every moment!

Treatment Coordinator

I have been working in orthodontics since 2006 and have been part of the Gulf Coast Orthodontics team since 2022. Making a difference in our patients self esteem is my favorite part of what I do. Getting to know our patients who end up becoming family and experiencing their positive change from not wanting to smile to constantly smiling =)

I live with my husband, Son and our pup Rocket. We enjoy our family time either out enjoying our Florida weather or indoor playing board, card and video games as a family. We live with our doggie Rocket- he’s a small spunky, loving and protective fluff ball.

Miguel

Lab Coordinator

I have been with Gulf Coast Orthodontics for over 15 years! I help Dr. Laboda and Dr. Rose with patient treatment. I also coordinate all aspects of the lab, including taking digital scans, 3D printing, model fabrication, and appliance fabrication. I am always patient and kind to our patients, explaining the details of treatment to make the patient feel relaxed and reassured. I feel it’s a privilege to help change the way a person feels about the way they smile.

I was born in Texas and raised mostly in Florida, New Jersey, Illinois, & Michigan. My parents did a lot of traveling as I was growing up, eventually settling in Florida. I have a daughter and a grandson. My hobbies are traveling, camping, and fishing.

Leslie

Orthodontic Assistant

I’m Leslie Amoroso, and I’ve been part of the orthodontic field since 1993. I joined Gulf Coast Orthodontics in May 2021 as an Orthodontic Assistant, and I absolutely love what I do. Helping patients feel confident about their smiles is incredibly rewarding, and it’s such a joy to see the transformation from start to finish. I’m an EFDA and Certified Orthodontic Assistant, and I truly value working alongside the best doctors and team in the field. We’re more than coworkers—we’re family.

Outside of the office, I’ve been married to my amazing husband for 33 years, and together we have three grown children and two grandsons who bring so much fun and laughter to our lives. I’m happiest spending time with my family, especially when we’re all gathered around for a family dinner at our place—chaos and all!

I love camping, riding ATVs, and caring for my 14 hens and 2 roosters. I know it sounds a little crazy, but my chickens bring me so much joy! We live on five acres, which gives us plenty of space for all the animals, including my mini Aussie, Cookie, three rescue cats—Sadie, Trixie, and Luna—and two feral cats I feed outdoors.

Working at Gulf Coast Orthodontics and getting to know our patients and their families is an honor, and I’m grateful to be part of each person’s smile journey!

Orthodontic Assistant

I began working at Gulf Coast Orthodontics in October 2020, and I’ve been in the orthodontic field since November 2014. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong passion for orthodontics because I enjoy being hands-on and seeing the transformation in our patients’ smiles. Watching someone gain confidence from their results is truly rewarding for me.

As an Orthodontic Assistant, I prioritize patient comfort and enjoy building relationships with each person who walks through our doors. Having undergone orthodontic treatment myself with LightForce braces, I can relate firsthand to the patient experience, which helps me provide even more personalized care.

I love working with Dr. Laboda and Dr. Rose at Gulf Coast Orthodontics, where we create individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of our patients. Whether it’s helping someone through the early stages of their braces or celebrating their final results, I find great satisfaction in making a positive impact on their journey to a healthier, more confident smile.

LaShay

Orthodontic Assistant

I joined the Gulf Coast Orthodontics team with orthodontic experience since 2014. I take pride in knowing that I have helped people achieve confidence in their smile. I love building relationships with our patients and their families, and my goal is to make every patient comfortable and happy to be there.

I’m local to Florida and enjoy all this area has to offer with my family and two small children. Not only am I passionate about creating beautiful smiles, I also love capturing them as well. I specialize in portrait photography in all areas of South West Florida, so if you’re looking for a local photographer, I’m available on all social media platforms @LaShayWadePhotography.

Orthodontic Assistant

I started working at Gulf Coast Orthodontics in August 2023, and I’ve been in the orthodontic field since July 2021. What I enjoy most about orthodontics is having the opportunity to talk with patients about their treatment and explaining how everything works. I love helping them understand the process and feel confident in their journey toward a beautiful smile.

Growing up, I was inspired by my own experience with braces. When I was 8 years old, I had Phase 1 braces to correct an underbite, and my orthodontist was able to fix my bite without surgery. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in orthodontics, and now I’m passionate about helping the next generation achieve the same amazing results.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our bird, Opal. We enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, and being outdoors together. I also love watching supercross, a passion my husband and I share from our days riding dirt bikes in California.

As part of the team at Gulf Coast Orthodontics, I strive to improve every day, support my team, and provide the best care possible for our patients. The support I receive from my colleagues and the opportunity to help patients makes coming to work each day so rewarding. 

Shalyn

Financial Coordinator

Hi! I’m Shalyn, the Financial Coordinator at Gulf Coast Orthodontics. I joined the team in 2023, and it’s been an amazing experience to be part of each patient’s smile journey. I’ve been working in orthodontics since 2021, and what I love most about this field is getting to know our patients and seeing their transformations over time.

Outside of work, I live with my husband and our very chatty, trick-loving black cat, Wonton. We’re a busy bunch! My husband plays baseball for the Red Sox organization, which makes me a big Red Sox fan (although, being from Washington, I have a soft spot for the Mariners, too!). I also love quilting, baking, and traveling back to Washington to spend time with my niece, nephew, and extended family.

One of my biggest inspirations is my mom—she’s incredibly kind, hardworking, and always thinking of others. I hope to be as thoughtful as she is! I’m also currently a full-time student, working toward a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

At Gulf Coast Orthodontics, I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with such an inspiring team and to help our patients feel confident in their smiles!

Patient Care Coordinator

I joined the team here at Gulf Coast Orthodontics in 2022. My favorite part of my job is watching the transformation of our patient’s teeth from the beginning of treatment through completion. I love to see the big smile on our patients face when they come to check out. Whether it is to show off the colors they just picked out or the day they get their braces off.

I am happily married to my husband Rob. We have four wonderful children and two amazing granddaughters. I love to read and spend time with my family. My kids are the ones who inspire me. They are very independent, self driven, and goal oriented. Each one of them has taken their own path to get where they are today. They make me so proud to be there mom.

I love spending time with my family. It doesn’t matter what we do as long as we’re together.

Treatment Coordinator

I started my career in orthodontics in 2001 and have been with Gulf Coast Orthodontics since March of 2024. My favorite part of what I do is seeing the change of confidence and self esteem from the beginning of treatment when patients don’t want to smile, to the end of treatment showing their teeth and confidence with a big smile. Being a part of the great team here at Gulf Coast Orthodontics and creating beautiful smiles, is fantastic.

I have a large blended family with 5 kids and 8 grandchildren. I enjoy being a grandma and spending precious time with family. We enjoy boating, long walks on the beach and our new home Fort Myers exploring the area. Renting an Airbnb for a long weekend spending time boating, grilling great food and playing games.

Tayla

Orthodontic Assistant

My name is Tayla. I am an Orthodontic Assistant here at Gulf Coast Orthodontics. I started my career in 2007 and have been part of the team here at Gulf Coast Orthodontics, since February of 2023. My absolute favorite part of working in orthodontics is helping create beautiful smiles, and seeing patients transition from being shy to very outgoing just by their smile. That makes me happy.

I’m a mother of one boy and one girl, I have a grandson who I adore. My family and I love spending quality time together and making new memories. Especially being outdoors and kayaking! I have two dogs, Toby and Draco. I also have a Bearded dragon, leaped gecko and 3 tortoises.  Oh, and I am a big sports fan and love ALL my New England teams, GO PATS!!!
